Hi All,
my previous posts regarding my Viano 2.2CDI Auto have not helped to solve the problem with my car so I am trying one more time!!

The car vibrates in the engine area when I take my foot of the gas (no braking) and can continue down to about 10mph. The problem comes and goes and seems to improve when car has warmed up.The vibration has been happening on and off for 4 months.

The car is 6 years old and has 315000 on the clock. Recent work on the car includes:
gear box oil change, prop checked, new gear box mount and all other mounts checked.New front tyres this week
If anybody has experienced a similar problem I would appreciate any advice you can offer.

Thanks

How did they check the engine mounts?

This would be my first port of call.

My mechanic changed them 12 months ago and he said that they would not have gone again yet!!

Thanks

Yes,I bought them myself. Is there a way to check that they are still ok?

Cheers

Hi All,
I forgot to mention that the engine revs seem to be lower than normal when I take my foot off the gas and it feels like this may be the cause of the vibration. Engine braking usually means the revs are quite high as the engine slows down the car? In my case it sound like the revs are lower than the should be,however, this is not a constant problem as it seems to stop when engine is warm (again not alaways-no real pattern to this problem!)

Thanks
