Note that site is www.baby-benz.co.uk
The site requires registration to get to the forums and I do not want to register to another site. Any chance that you could copy the post Lofty.

No. It is not my policy to copy material from site to site without the persons permission. What I do know is that this information is invaluable to A class auto gear box owners. If you have an A class auto the time it takes to register could save your hundreds, the choice is yours.
Lofty :bannana: no offence intended.

Lofty, if someone publishes something on a public forum I think its safe to assume that information can be considered in the public domain and therefore there is no risk in posting from one public site to another.

It's a case of bush's wearing out in the Hydraulic Clutch Actuator Motor. MB only do a replacement unit at 390 +vat + fitting. A set of bushes can be obtained from electrical suplliers who may fit them or you can fit them yourself with a resultant large saving.
Would seem to be on first generation A series. Symptons are an 'F' display on dash and inability to select gars. Stopping and re-starting provided a temp fix.
