Some of the ally parts on my engine are oxidised - alternator, brackets, inlet manifold etc.
I've painted the inlet manifold with smooth hammerite, and I'm happy with that, but has anyone any ideas how to remove the oxidation from the other parts?

Unfortunatly it's usually a case of elbow grease, if you can get to the parts! I've not tried it, but have heard that dowsing with Coke can work.

1) degrease engine with your favourite engine degreaser product, mine's Comma Hyperclean. Check out motorcycle cleaners.

2) Autosol.
