P0422 error code E430

So I have this error code which means I think (someone please enlighten me) that either a cat is kaput or an o2 sensor has gone south. How can I simply (for which read cheaply !) check the o2 sensor. Also the error code says bank 1 - does anyone know which bank that is in relation to me when I'm sitting in the drivers seat? (E430)

If the error code says main cat which one is this? I have recently had both sides cats/exhausts replaced with aftermarket items (I think there are 2 cats per side) - are there other cats in the system or are the ones I've bought just a heap of manure?

Drivers side front cat, prob a maf issue that caused the fault with the last cats?
fix the cause before replacing more cats. Get the Maf checked .
