P20DD B37 code on ML55

I have a 2003 ML55 with a P20DD B37 code. While stationery the engine will not rev. up more than 4000-4500 revs and vehicle goes into limp mode after few time when the throttle is pressed down with a P20DD B37 code. A quick restart of the engine restores power.

I have changed the accelerator pedal sensor (just in case) but the same thing hapens again.

I fund out that it shouldn't go over 4000 revs to protect the engine while stationary - BUT the question is should i get the code every time it is happening

Hi. Did you replace only the sensor or the entire pedal assembly ? And also check you have fitted it correctly as the connector needs a very good fit/connection. HTH

I have only replaced the sensor - fitted correctly (double checked) plug cleaned with switch cleaner.

It only happens when the car is stationery ( transmission in N or P) - ??? goes into limp mode

Never happened while driving
