Hi,

I've Just replaced the pads and disks on my 2005 clk350 sport. I used the pagid fitting kits (2 pin front, 1 pin rear) but after a couple of weeks heard a scary scrapping and twang on braking. When I looked both the front pins on one side had come half out! I used a drift to really seat them well and went round the others again to make sure, I noticed the rear ones don't seat flush to the caliper which worries me a bit. I have ordered a full set of Becky and Borg to see if they are more secure and shorter on the rears, has anyone else had this issue?

Why not just get the proper pins from the dealership and save yourself the trouble ?

Personally I never use Pagid stuff on any car. Their brakes squeal badly and I have found that generally their fitment is poor.

yes , with hindsight i should have gone to the dealer. I thought pins were pretty standard items really like the pads themselves. next time! :-D
