Well visited the MB Dealer who supplied my used MB this morning....checklist;

Accept there are inclusions in paint = Accepted
Accept this is not how it left the factory = Agreed
Accept there may have been a previous paint job on my 3 year old = Accepted....but its used and sourced from within MB network so don't know full history....mmm MB Approved Used?
Accept something should be done = accepted...sort of, bring it back next week will get paint specialist to have a look and try and polish out....one area inparticular I have serious doubt this will work!...but will wait and see. The salesman is going to give me his C class for the day.

Remember they owe me 1/2 tank diesel from when I collected car = Sorted, did not even need to mention it, salesman took keys drove it to petrol station and topped her up....

so far cannot complain about the customer service....but I have doubts on polishing out paint inclusions...anyone venture an opinion here?

Now that is a interesting defect. Can I suggest something for your peace of mind...ask for a paint report for every panel and get them to confirm in writing that the reports readings will cover you for any corrosion claim under MB terms and conditions. This was one of the first things I asked for and warned them I would walk away if I found the car had been repaired on any panel. The took photos with the paint depth readin for each panel.

I sleep better knowing this as I got a few surprise on my red W202 when I had all the panels measured. Given you are still within your 30 days so you can make some decisions, and get them to complete any work before the 30 days are up.

Kamal
