I went to my dealer 3 weeks ago to book in for my cost reduced A service (car over 6 years old) and showed them an ugly spot on the drivers door (rust under the paintwork) I was told that this was due to a stonechip, but I argued the point as I had just come from a bodyshop who told me it wasnt. End result was being told they would submit the claim with images of the defect and await instructions. Well Friday got a call from the body shop informing me that they had instruction to repair and repaint my door under goodwill from Mercedes. Took 2 weeks to get an answer, is that some sort of record? :bannana:

Two weeks is the norm now for rust/corrosion claims to be authorised as per MB Bodshop - my claim has been submitted as well and they assured me that in two weeks DC will have got back.
