Paint thickness

Hi All

Anyone know what the paint thickness is expected to be an a 62plate eclass coupe?

Ive used my paint gauge, and it seems thinner than my S2000, which is odd as I expected MB paint to be of a better quality

Tried it with a ruler but couldn't tell

Maybe it is better quality therefore not needing as many coats!
