Parking pilot...

I got same then noticed the Continue was grey out - waited a bit and it lit p then it would connect rather than abort.

ShaunB,
Unfortunately the great advice you gave me for getting the remote parking app working is not going to help with the garage parking - unless I move!

App now happily connects, recognises my vehicle, allows me to select direction of travel, starts the engine, centres the steering but when I trace the circle (to move the car) THEN it informs me that the gradient is too high. Originally we thought it was the 2" step into the garage that I had purposely pulled up to ensure car was square to garage. But even moving the car back 2 or 3 feet the app still rejects for gradient.

Seemingly, it does not like the inclination of our drive way. Well it is about 3-4 brick courses from gate posts to the garage doors.

Will have to follow your example and just use it to "show off" once in a while.

Well what a plava this is (I’m the OP)

I took car into Mercedes dealer, they took 6 days (!!!) to change a parking sensor and update the software, they seemed clueless as to what this whole functionality was.,.

...at the end they needed a combination of myself and a salesman explaining it to get them to undertstand.

Anyway they told me it was all now working (as originally salesman had same issue) - brought the car home last night...tried it just now and back to square one...it doesn’t even show me the car to select in my app (before I could select the car and then it would say ABORT)...have tried installing and uninstalling / different devices...

Mercedes Me works - the garage is about 35 mins away and I just wish I had stuck to a different brand of car now as these guys come across as incompetent...

Eta - I seem to recall there were a bunch of slide options to activate or deactivate things in an app...can’t see to find they now? So you had to ‘activate’ remote parking, or ‘activate’ map updates etc...?

These options are on the Mercedes Me portal, think its located in services from memory

Thank you for this Shaun and your help with this matter over the past few weeks - the options I were looking for were indeed there!

Anyhow Merc tech have just done a reset and for the first time ever it is actually working and I love it !!!

If I want to use this feature to put my car in / out the garage, do I need to manually line the car up exactly to the garage entrance and then fire up the app? The reason I ask is if the car is at a slight angle it won’t go in first time (It needs some small corrections as hard to park it absolutely in line)?

Glad they got you sorted :thumb:
I've never really tried to do anything near as tight as you describe. Reversed up my narrow driveway is about the height of it, so can't comment any more.
