Parking Sensor not working

Hello,

I'm a first time recent owner, please pardon me if this is something that should have an obvious answer.

I have a 57 registration ML320 CDi. Some days back, the parktronics system started beeping, and reading on this forum, I got to know that I would either need to get them reset, or one (or more) sensors have become faulty.

I just got a test done, and the device (that was used to test the sensors) mentioned "901C A43b10 (Left Outer Sensor, rear bumper). Sensor is faulty.".

I am trying to find out if I can get a sensor online, which I can then take to a garage. Wherever I see online, there are codes and OEM numbers that are mentioned.

How do I find out what is the correct number for the parking sensor of my car? Do I have to get it dismantled to get the number?

Again, sorry if this question has an obvious answer - I just could not find anything online for this.

Thanks for the reply in advance!

One of my front parking sensors came up as faulty on STAR but then all sensors worked perfectly for a few weeks so didn't bother replacing as planned at next workshop visit. It plays up occasionally so I won't bother replacing until it's playing up constantly.

Buy from the main dealer is your unsure, no mega money, they come black so you will need paint to, unless your car is black of course.

Think now they actually come colour coded when ordered from the dealer :D , as when I had new ones fitted I was told they would have to be painted , but when they arrived they were colour coded :D
