Parking Sensors on Brand New E-Class

I've had my long awaited E-Class 2 weeks and the rear parking sensors have packed up, now alerting when ever reverse is selected. I have it booked in next week to be fixed but I sincerely hope this is not the sign of things to come after my move from Audi.

Has anyone else suffered similar issues?

New car, things go wrong...don't write it off just yet.

One of the fronts went on mine at about 18months old. All under warranty so no biggie. You get it with electronics.

Could just be a bit of polish rubbed into the sensor by an over-keen valeter
