Sensors on my w211 estate not working. Red lights come on for a few seconds then parktronic switches itself off. One sensor on front of car appears to be scuffed / marked. Would one faulty sensor disable the whole system, front and rear?

Yes. Get the car on STAR and have the codes read. It will pinpoint the sensor(s) that need replacing

I've just fixed mine 5 mins ago. STAR highlighted the dodgy sensor so I've relplaced it and so far everything working as it should

MB dealers quoted £50.50 plus VAT per sensor. Another £16 for paint to finish them! Found shop on eBay selling what they describe as genuine Bosch sensors for MB for £16.99 each. Has anyone ever bought these from eBay as they would appear to be too good a bargain to be both new and genuine? As the old adage goes, if it appears too good to be true then it probably is!

Bought mine from this fellow on eBay Bmwbobilin (2 for £34), put a dab of paint on and they work fine

Thanks. I'll give him a look.

How much do MB charge to put your car on Star? I bet that's a pocket picker

i bough them on ebay from that person no problems 6 months later and still going strong, look what wire fitting you have there are 2 types order one and swap it over till it works, its easy, could save you money getting it read, he delivers quick too. good luck.
