This seems like a very interesting device but I'm a bit wary of pre-ordering one as the blurb seems to raise questions as well as provide answers. Has anyone seen one in the flesh or even used one? I would like to understand how good the sat nav is and also why it might need its own 3G card if you attach a suitably equiped phone.

I would guess the device needs the ability to connect to the android network.
It will need a internet connection to do this.

I too would like to know more about the Asteroid.
It looks like it could be an all in one unit for upgrading from a Audio 10 cd.
I bet there are hidden costs involved due to all it's functions.
if it is as good as it looks for £300 I might give it a try.
I will email a seller to ask advice

Yes I have used one and, I have three of them in stock!

Its a good mechless unit. It has full BT phone, USB, ipod and AUX ports. It runs a version of Android so there are apps coming out for it. Comes with a GPS antenna also as one of the apps is google maps. Not quite Navigation but not bad. It has an RRP of £299 but of course there are discounts to be had ;)

Its quite a good unit with two pre-outs, nice large display showing album artwork. The voice control is also quite good too. to acces the internet features requires a 3G dongle to be plugged in.

I have one in a demo stand if anyone wants to pop along and have a play!
