Hi guys.
The clip has snapped the fits the indicator unit in place next to the main light unit.
Looks like I will need a whole new indicator unit.

Does anyone know the part number and any idea of price for it?

Supposed to go to my friends wedding in it today and car died the other day which turned out to be a knackered battery so had Bosch battery and new bulbs fitted and wiring loom for right side for light fixed too.
One day later I break the clip.
Ffs!

Tried to do a search online with that part number but nothing comes up???

At least you don't need the lamp holder - I lost an entire indicator assembly on the M4 once!

Isnt that what I need??
The actual unit that clips into body won't clip

No, you just need the lamp unit - Bill lost the bit that holds the bulb too, leaving him with bare wires.

Have you considered drilling a small hole in the rear of the lamp assembly in order to facilitate using a cable tie to hold the lamp in place securely and invisibly?

I wouldn't even consider because I would end up breaking the other unit, scratching the paint work which means I would get angry smash the drill across the floor which would probably cause the drill bit to fly off on impact and smash a windscreen lol

So the part number I've been given is fine for what I need then.

I've ordered the part using the part number you gave.
Turns out it's an Australian part not American according to local merc dealer.
Cost me £71 Inc vat which he said is £20 cheaper than the UK version.
Should arrive at dealers Thursday

So sun was out and couldn't bare to have car sitting there on a fine day. Duct taped the light did a 20mins round trip with wife and my 2yr old daughter in it. All was fine then somewhere at about 15mph it fell off and was crushed to pieces

Oh great. So do you know the part number for that one? I'm starting to think this cars jinxed

Even new ones have a habit of breaking free, not just on R129's but also on W124's and W202's.

Many people use the cable tie trick to prevent future loss of replacements.

I don't, sorry. I just got one from the local dealer ... checked my folder for the car but it seems I didn't file the invoice :dk:

All sorted. New lens unit arrived Friday. Parts guy at merc ordered me a new piggy back indicator bulb unit which was just over £15 and all is fitted and clicked in nicely.
Thanks for the help everyone
