passanger side mirror auto dim retrofit help please

i have a w210 e320 estate with an auto dimming mirror on the drivers side and a blue non auto dim on the passenger side. thinking this was a after market replacement i brought an auto dim mirror for the passenger side off ebay. But the mirror itself has 4 wires where the old one has only two. i amguessing the extra two are the auto dim control, if so which colour is what and will running a wire from other side and piggy backing it ( in parrelell) work or is there an easier answer, has any one done this, help please.

cocosouthwood - Ive not done this myself or read anything about it but ....

I would guess the 2 wires are control / adjust and the other two for the auto dim. I would also guess its simply a perminante 12v supply feed. Measure the voltages on your drives side mirror to confirm. Please check first though as i DO NOT have first hand experience of this.

Firstly you will need a convex dimming mirror. Secondly look at the right side assembly.
