I did disconnect the battery drivers side works fine.

Mel.

Try re-setting the window. Open all the way and hold the button down ~5sec, then close all the way and hold the button up ~5sec.

Hi I have tried that , I have just taken the car up the road. a warning message say door is open is on the Dash but the door is closed and locked when i started to drive off as normal.

Possibly the door pin (courtesy light switch) is playing up? If the car thinks the door is open it won't fully close the window.

On the B pillar, possibly just below the lock latch.

Has item 5 been reinstalled, the car will think the door is open if it is missing.

Thanks all for your help on this.everything is now working correctly. once i pushed the Courtsey light switch in all of the issue's were sorted. I did not think the trim not being on would cause such a problem. Appoligies to all but thanks for helping sort out this worrying problem I hope this thread helps others in the future.
