From what I know if the old barrel has been taken out without having the key turned to 1, then it will need a new steering column as well.

I see that the car has no bonnet emblem or star, was Liverpool that bad back then

Paul McCartney is as scouse as Heather Mills.......... plus you could leave a car like that on a Liverpool street back in the 80s and nobody would touch it for fear of a visit from the possible gangster element. I reckon it was done by the Prince's dodgy mechanics from daan saaaf trying to fit those speedo rings

Paul McCartneys son just bought a W123 Estate off my mate!

When my mate picked him up from the station they got chatting and my mate asked him what he did for a living......when McCartney jnr said he was a musician my mate asked him if he would have heard of him? McCartney jnr responded with 'Well you might have heard of my dad....hes called Paul McCartney!'

Not much of a driver's car, it's not going to give much feedback with that steering wheel set up. Is that so it can be left or right hand drive?

Is that a steering lock in the footwell? If you were going to repo the car and it had a lock on it, would the position of the wheel now be the result?? I also didn't think the DVLA gave out details of former owners other than the most recent. Am I wrong - data protection and all??
