Phone help needed

Today I managed to drop my trusty k800i into a bucket of paint ... doh

So do I go for another k800 which fits the car and suits me perfectly or should I look to change.
I need to use the phone holder to charge and the car aerial for poor signals. I prefer not to use bluetooth as it drains the battery when I'm out and about so what is the best hardwired phone and cradle that I can get?

A quick ebay search leads me to believe that the k800i is still it.

K800i is still a damn good phone, I don't think I'd be messing around changing anything if you can lay your hands on one for the right money.

Unless you can find a cheap cradle on e-bay for another phone I would stick with the same type.

I had already upgraded from a k750 so have that cradle as well somewhere.

Have just bought a nearly new k810i from ebay so hope that fits (I think it might) otherwise it will be donated to the other half and I'll seach out a new k800i.

I agree that the K800i is a damm good phone and works well in the car. Pity it cant swim.

Bump....

New K810i arrived today and doesn't fit the cradle. It nearly fits but wont lock in (and yes I removed the rubber bung for the aerial)

Do I need a new cradle?

And the old K800i was left on the bench for 4 days with the cover off it and the battery out. It works again - just brown paint behind the screen. I was amazed. It was totally immersed in creosote and then washed under the tap for a good few minutes.
