Exchanging cars today and finally picking up the '99 E300 TD Avantgarde I've lusted after for months, woohoo!

Cheers guys, its going to be a helluva culture shock from a 1.2 manual Clio but I think I'll cope...(thank God for cheap diesel in the ROI is all I can say).

Welcome, great car, just keep a constant eye out for the rust

I hope you enjoy your new car and keep your foot off the left peddle cos your back tyres will soon need changing with all that new POWER:devil:

I'm just waiting for the moment when I go to change gear and realise I've just put the parking brake on

Thanks guys - absolutly loving the motor:bannana: - not been able to log in for a while due to technical difficulties  so sorry for the delay.

There is a real crunch coming from the driver's side when you go over a speed bump and a bit of a steering pull to the right which I'm assuming is a shock absorber and the garage have said they will fix under warrenty. Only other problems are minor ones - there is a warning light coming on when you turn the lights on saying there is a blown bulb when the only blown bulb I can find is the interior light at the front of the car, the washer jets seem to be blocked and the driver's side lens washer won't retract properly.

If I can get the shock and the washer jets fixed under warrenty I'll be happy, the rest is the usual minor stuff on an older car...

I used to get duff readings like this from my C270. A clean of the contacts of the offending bulb usually did the trick. For a while ...
