Here are a few pics of my lights at night. Weathers not to good, and my drive is at an angle so difficult to line up the beam. Would be interesting to see difference between these and OEM lights.

Thanks for posting the pictures so quickly. I like the look of the lights but the beam pattern looks a bit funny. The two hot spots and uneveness of the beam are quite pronounced. Have you taken it to a MOT test centre to have the beam set?

Any MOT testers or lighting engineers on here who can comment?

Yes. after i fitted the lights my mate who an MOT test centre put it on the ramp and tested they were right on no adjustment required. In the car the headlight adjuster is set at '0'. My driveway being at an angle doesn't help either.

Maybe the angle is the problem. I wish we had a before photo. LOL-you couldn't take one out and put the old one back in to do a comparison photo could you;)

Ha Ha nice one flipping took ages to put in @!***@@~~~##. Because the lenses are wet maybe should have wiped them first and the angle. I will try again tomorrow and find white wall on level ground. I now the lights are set right as i stood right next to him and the machine on rollers that he was testing them with, and the beam was spot on. Maybe need w203 oem comparison but i ain't taking out one of my lights to do it - damm hard job.

I know, I was just winding you up. this modding lark is hard work sometimes. It is also risky.......one day I might admit to what £700 bit of damage I did to my W202 whilst modding:(

Try this......

Use the lights' horizontal- and vertical-adjusting screws to position the low beams' intensity zones two inches below and to the left of the taped centerlines. (the above link is for LH drive and reads two inches to the right)

Use the red lines in the diagram for your car, where centre
of dipped beam headlight bulb is between 00-850mm from level ground

Popped into my local Kwik Fit today on the off chance and they tested my headlights and did an emmission test FOC well chuffed, as the worry over my new projector lights was after all no cause for concern 1 light just needed a bit of adjustment (nearside) but both were within the 2 red lines which they are tested on in the machine. As to the emission test since removing the OEM centre cat, and replacing a custom system with the Kleemann header and sports cat i was concerned regarding future MOT. My car passed on all tests so i am indeed a happy MB driver.

Thats good news tudu. Well done!
