I thought I would post a few pictures of the W220 after giving her a clean today...
I found all sorts of nooks and crannies for dirt to collect, but thanks to my O.C.D. it's all clean now.;)
Not too sure how long I'm going to keep this one because the missus is struggling to get on with the transition from the E to the S-Class:dk:

Just upload them to free image sharing website, like Photobucket or Flickr, and then you can manage them there by choosing the size, rotate them, etc.

Nice W220, btw! Just need to get a Merc centre cap for the offside front wheel :D Am I being picky?

Very Nice W220
Hopefully your wife will get used to it soon and get to love all the little extras that make the S Class so special

Blackman- no you're not being picky; I already have a little list of niggles that I want to get sorted.
Jonnyboy- I'll have owt for nowt ;) only kidding, pm me with details please.

That W220 looks fantastic. :thumb:

Any pics of the interior?

The S class is a lovely motor, personally for me a tad too cumbersome for press on driving but a sublime motor car. Tell her not to drive it, and instead luxuriate in the passanger seat whilst you enjoy what was voted the best car in the world

So the 'present' wife is not keen on the 220. A bit of TLC is required here to sell her the idea that the decision has been made and you would not want to have to change now in particular as you have both got on so well in the past and it would be such a pity if you had to trade her in given exchange rates of ex-wives are not good at the present.

Apart from that minor detraction the motor looks great a fine job indeed.

I had a W220 for six years, petrol though.

Well done - nice looking car

Saw your post on the CD stacker on the other topic. It is a common common problem. I had mine rebuilt by Maple Audio in Bath.

A very nice looking S-class.

It's amazing what you can buy for the money these days.

Can I be cheeky and ask whether you've noticed any rust on the car?

No rust at all and I've covered the complete body with a chamois today. The alloys are starting to flirt a bit, though....
Pricewise, I had to go over my budget because I didn't want to buy a scab-fest for a grand cheaper and have to suffer the consequences of all sorts of bills afterwards. ;)
I'm only intending to keep it for six months, tops, but we will see how we go on

We will see about that, bought mine nearly six years ago with the intention of keeping it for a year. Just got so attached to it now:)

Like the look of that - so much so I bought one myself :)
