Hi
I need to replace a kn_ckered piston (its eaten sommething that disaggreed with it)
on my E320cdi...Has anone used Arcopistons and are they compatable with replacement of a single in a 6 pot engine?
If not these pistons then where might i buy oem a little cheaper than than the merc dealers. My local is not too friendly and no longer has a parts department or counter, in fact I was told off last visit for taking a "wrapped and sealed" fuel pump into the showroom for the "parts man" to look at!!! I only took it in as he had no idea over the phone and the pics he emailed me where of the wrong prts for a differant model altogether.
Should there be any interest I have some pics and could do a wright up on how the piston can be removed with the engine in the car,sub frame removed and just how much crud can be in the air intake and valves and the car still run with decent power and no smoke!!!
