Hi,
I've just got hold of some plug pins so I can wire the speed pulse through to the stereo. I'm using the purpose built plug pins, obtained from MB (A 033 545 19 28) but I can't seem to get them into the connector block they were designed for. I've soldered on the wire but when I try and insert it into the connector block, it just wont go all the way in. I've pushed really hard but no joy.
I'm obviously not doing it right, but how can something soooo simple be difficult to get wrong?

If anyone knows the correct method of connecting these pins, please let me know. I'm going mad with frustration!!!

Thanks

I've been to see a MB dealership about this and a technician has sorted this for me. It's not quite as straight forward as I thought it would be (but a piece of cake now that I know!!)

Anyway, for those that are interested, you need to prize open (with a terminal driver) the rear section of the connector block (along one of the narrow edges) whilst pushing down on the spring clips along one of the longer edges of the block. (Will make more sense if you are actually looking at a block whilst reading this).
Then, slide the rear section away, exposing the chamers. Insert the spring clip into the desired chamber (it will go in ever so easily) and then slide across the rear section of the block until it locks back into place. There, job done!! Easy when you know how.

This process is not necessarily obvious (or not to me anyway) as it's very difficult to see the dedicated slot for prizing, or the actual spring clip, while the block is located way down in the pillar. It's difficult to get your head down there to actually see what's going on, but once you know what to look for, it's very straight forward (as I assume you are probably all saying to me right now!!!)

Anyway, speed signal all wired through. Now just awaiting delivery of my APS30.
