Nick as you know I'm quite fussy and SL60s are hard to come by. I'm really after something different now - I know the 996 isn't in the same league for build quality as the R129 but I only drive 5000 miles a year and never much more then 150 miles in a weekend. I'm happy to try out a 911 for 12 - 18 months and see what happens - I can always come back and to be honest it will probably take that long for a decent SL60 to come along!
