They make you pay for everything but you need a sense of humour to own one. "you'll be wanting a rear windscreen wiper sir?" especially when looking at the options list. However I didn't tick the sense of humour bypass box.

My old CLS 55 AMG had the electric rear blind. Whenever I spotted someone in the rear view mirror getting out of their pram at some alleged injustice, I'd hit the close button and watch them turn from mildly angry to absolutely insane!

There was something about doing that action that was very, 'F off you peasant!'

I had that in my W126 , and used it if the headlamps of following traffic annoyed me .

Likewise in my SL , I can raise the pop up roll over bar manually , which has the wind guard fitted into it , same effect .

So I'm coming down a slip road to join a dual carriageway there s a super slow car in front but I bite my lip and let him do his thing, look In my rear view mirror to see a silver Porsche trying to get in my boot....! We all pull onto the dual carriageway and I indicate straight away to pull out into the outside and to get past Mr slow.... But Mr Porsche can't wait and is straight into the outside lane and flys past..... REMOVED your getting it...! Absolutely destroyed the fker. Couldn't look at me as I went past. Think he thought I will show this old Merc.....! But he come unstuck....!

Based upon the description, I'm not sure what the Porsche did that you didn't do?

You both encountered a car which was driving more slowly on the slip road, and you both decided to act straight away - as soon as you pull on to the dual carriageway - in order to overtake.

Again, based upon your description, it sounds like the Porsche driver was carrying more momentum and anticipated the situation (or got lucky) such that he could overtake you before you had started your own manoeuvre.

PS What was it that made you ask whether you're a bully?

Today I was in my e55 and a McLaren f1 came up behind me really aggressive like and made me feel inferior because his cars worth more than mine and anyway after he had got to the 80 or 90 mph he was trying to get to my late reactions and heavy right foot meant I managed to accelerate to 120 mph to prove a point he didn't even know I was making.

Seriously guys, sometimes it's actually in your head.......

Shan't look at this thread again because I expect to be taken down a peg or two but, heavens above, just read what you write occasionally. It's not mortal combat out there. Just try to drive from a to b, enjoy yourself and don't hit anyone. Or is that too simplistic an approach.

By the way, my 911 can be out dragged by a golf tdi. Do I care? Nope. Would I swap? Prolly not as my youthful friends are wont to say. Here's one of those smiley faces to show I mean this in a light hearted fashion for those incapable of interpretation ☺
