So I've had an issue with my 2011 e350 coupe, put the key in and it turns to the spring loaded part and no lights come on the dash and car doesn't start. I had the key checked and that's all good and told it was the steering lock. So o took that off and had an emulator fitted. Told that eis has been tested and working fine. All put back together and still the same issue. I've got lights, radio etc but no ignition. I did see a thread about the gearbox inhibitor which has made me remember that the car has a few times not selected a gear and I've had to turn it off and on again.
Is this a common problem? The day it went was very wet and I did drive through a big puddle.
All fuses have been checked and good. Brand new battery and has been charged too.
