Hi, I have just registered on this forum so that I can gleen some insight into owning an M Class. I have seen a very nice 2009 ML320 CDI Sport in black with a light grey interior that I will be looking at in detail this Sunday. This will replace my Audi A4 2.7TDi which replaced a Jeep Grand Cherokee a couple of years ago so the 4x4 bug never actually left me.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

If they made a 7 seat W164 ML, I'd have one tomorrow.

I must admit I wasn't a fan of the ML till I drove one theres a lot of room inside and a real pleasure to drive

I had a couple of Jeep Grand Cherokees over a 6 year period and loved the driving experience, but decided to change to a saloon car and regretted it so now the opportunity has come up to get rid of the A4 I am jumping at the chance. I looked at the Jeep again and the Range Rover Sport but the Jeep, although cheap, is not very well made and the interior is made of cheap materials whilst the RR Sport has, in my mind, a bad image. The ML looks really nice, is a good price, appears well made with quality materials and IMO has a great image.

I owned an ML300 sport. They are nice cars.

They drive like an American car, the column shift is slow, a 3 point turn is agonising.

Ride comfort is good, plenty of room in them.

My major critism was the transmission delay from taking your foot off the brake to pwer being taken up, it creates hairy moments at junctions and you have to learn to drive around it.

Mine seemed to do 29mpg wherever and however I drove it.

Great cars, my wife went from Grand Cherokee to ML320 and we love it. It's got all the benefits of 4x4 (really works well in snow for example) but actually drives more like a saloon car! Best of all worlds.

Yes and no. I liked the car but was disappointed that it was not prepared for viewing and still needed cleaning inside and out. It also was missing the ipod integration which is an important thing for me as I hardly ever listen to the radio and never play cd's.

But I may have found another ML320 that has more options fitted and is cheaper.

It's now been 4 days since I viewed the ML and I am still waiting for a response to my offer to buy. These guys are sloooooow!

Give the guy's a "time/date" or you will go else where. Plenty more good ML's about.:)

At last the deal is done, I am now the proud owner of a 2009 Mercedes Benz ML320 CDI Sport. I collect it on Saturday.
