I have two recent issues:

On start up the engine will turnover but may not start first time, if it does start first time it may be rough for a few seconds and then become a steady idle.

I’m not sure if this is fuel pump related or even the heater plug/relay?

I can be driving along and all of a sudden there is a power loss. I can’t shift up or down on the paddles and the kick down does nothing, the engine won’t rev above 3000 rpm. If I pull over, stop the engine and re-start the problem goes away until the next time which maybe a few minutes later.

I’ve read previous posts about this and the fault ranges from the EGR valve, fuel pump/filter, split pipes or speed sensor. I’m type of the belief that it is a sensor as it seems to be reset when the engine is re-started. There is no engine light.

Thanks for reading any help appreciated.

Let me kill a chicken and consult the entrails.... or get the codes read.

Sorry, I understood that if there is no engine light that no code appears?...

Going into limp mode could also be the autobox (electroplate) malfunctioning.
Guessing can be very expensive, so, as suggested above, get the car on STAR and get the codes read
