Preglow problem

Hi all
I have a 1999 212Diesel La Strada Campervan, based on a Sprinter body. When the ignition is switched on the preglow light comes on as normal and then goes out briefly when the engine starts up. It then comes on again permanently. Any ideas of why this is happening would be gratefully received please. Thanks

i had to change 1 glowplug yesterday.

check this link out, should be able to apply the same theory to your model - using the multimeter is really useful:

Preglow problem solved

Thanks for all replies. The problem is now solved---it was a very poor connection on the relay. All OK now.
