Strange one this.I was browsing away merrily for an hour this morning, closed firefox browser and went to open up "my documents" as I did this the computer shut down and restarted itself   When I went back online to use firefox all my bookmarks had gone and all the folders with all my quick links had gone aswell.(the ones you can have under the address bar).Tried to find a folder with them stored in, like Internet explorer has. But coulnt find one? Most are backed up but the more recent ones seem to be lost.Any ideas if this is the case or have I missed something.Cheers.

Cant be firefox to cause a reeboot, might be a virus. My AV did not pick up a trojan even though my icons kept disappearing... it was up to date so ran the online Trend Micro free housecall, that found it.

Tried to run this program just, but keeps telling me there is no netscape browser  so it wont run,I shall try my antivirus again.

I recently upgraded to version 1.I haven't lost firefox,Only my bookmarks which sounds strange.Have done the antivirus and only found 2 adware threats non of which seemed like they could present a problem. Also tried adware that didnt find much either.

See what you mean.Bit of a bugger if you ask me.Only seemed to happen after I upgraded to version 1.Have now uninstalled firefox and shall try again hopefully I can still remember some of the bookmarks that weren't backed up.I might try something else yet will see if I can find it.Opra I think it is called,Shall do a search in a bit.Cheers for the help.
