What a delight to buy a car from a forum member.
It was exactly as described. The engine is one of the sweetest i've known.
It is a 124 300D Estate. Turned the key in Camberely drove straight up to Lancashire. No worries whatsoever @ 37 MPG
From the brief time we had together it is obvious John loves his Mercedes, and is an honest trustworthy guy to boot.
He has another Mercedes for sale on ebay at the moment. 220546653693. (I must learn that linky thing) If you want a decent 124 Coupe have a look at this one. I had a quick skeg - Good job I did not take my cheque book.
