Love my 500 SL massively after a few initial problems. Just wondering if anyone has back to back experience of the 500 vs the 600? Is it worth stepping up and what is the going rate for a nice 600?

There was a cheap N reg one on Ebay this week in Ireland but the seller sounded dodgy as anything so it was a very short conversation!

Thanks, does it feel any more nose heavy due to the extra V12 weight? I'm surprised at how nimble the 500 is.

How reliable is the ADS system?

ADS is pretty good ... a lot more reliable than later systems like ABC. The only common issue is that the accumulators ("spheres") fail eventually - but conventional shocks don't last forever either.

I read the advert for the silver 600 in Ireland and didn't think it sounded dodgy, just someone with no internet skills. What did they say in emails / calls?

He sounded very evasive on the phone when I asked about why it didn't have a current MOT, recent servicing etc. It sounds like a money pit and an owner who hasn't done anything in 3 years.
