R129 Pano roof

Love to know how you can tell that from the limited info.

go to the bids and check interaction between seller and buyer, it always raises alarms when the bidders are low feedback and % percentage interaction between buyer and seller is higher than say 5% it start alarm bells going, originally the starting bid was £799 dropped to 400 then they proceeded to bid it up with help of some friends.

i reported to ebay, most likely no action will be taken, the icing on the cake is when u get 2nd chance offer for the item by the seller then u know for sure.

it is an indication of shill bidding going on:crazy:

I think you're wrong about shill bidding.

One bidder has a feedback score of 661 with 0% previous activity with this seller, another has fb of 1683 & 7%, another has fb of 52 & 60% of his 5 bids have been on this one item, another has fb of 53 & 5%.

What I find more worrying is that someone who allegedly owns a convertible can't spell 'convertible'.

i think u find there is usually a relation although yr logic holds so many times u see the high interaction i simply walk away, a new one started happpening for people who use snipe programs high bids are in to catch out people with high sniper bids, for that reason i do not go crazy with snipe bids anymore.

do not knock the spelling this is how u can find a bargain if no shill bidding is going on.

:D

Went for £1560.99 - that's if the winning bidder pays...

Makes the one I bought for £200 look like even more of a Bargain!

often the end price is not what the item sells for, say the guy had a couple of friends bidding it up, now imagine there were a few other genuine bidders, it often happens that the 'friend' bidders win, but then 'agree'not to continue with the sale, so it is then offered in turn to the next highest bidder, until one accepts...

The top three bidders on that roof made one bid each, all made within the last 45 seconds or so of the sale.

Looks to me like they were legitimate buyers bidding their max at the v. end.
