R129 SL 320 not cranking

Hi had this a couple of times now (94 SL 320 R129)

Turn on ignition all lights ok, go to start but no cranking. (lights etc do not dim)

Lock car leave for a few seconds unlock car starts fine.

I have heard the K38 relay can play up, but while I'm at it any other suspects?

I wouldn't want it to leave me stranded.

The ignition switch is also a likely culprit too.

Thanks, anyway of checking? It very rarely does it.

Wiggle the key when it is in the ignition when the fault occurs to see if it makes a difference. Do the dash lights ever flicker?

It could also be the starter motor too. Does it do it when hot?

Once warm and once cold, no flickering from any lights.
