Still think the SL60 is a better car for less money

It's silver not white. I admit they take a bit of getting used to.

The SL60 is a different car altogether - last ones made in 1998 - even so if you found a mint one with 13k dare say it'd be up for £30k.

0-60 is very close to a 500 (officially 0.7s quicker at 5.8s), 0-100 would ideally double that.

Officially 5.6 for the SL60. Unofficially around 5. I know it's not very accurate but time the video. It was taken on the flat albeit with not much fuel. The problem is grip from a standing start. Maybe 30-70 is more meaningful. I can see you love your R129. Perhaps you need to try an SL60 at a G2G?

According to all of my MB brochures for the SL60 it's 5.8s - though that's the same time quoted in a german brochure for 0-100km/h (62mph). I agree it's probably quicker in practice .

...........which is why it isn't sitting in my garage. As much as I tried to convince the salesman that it was (way) over-priced, he wouldn't budge...so I just had to make do with my silver one....such is life
