R230 replacing 3rd brake light

Can anyone advise how easy it is to replace the 3rd brake light?
Mine has a hairline crack, I obviously want to avoid any water ingress this could cause.

I replaced my wifes one when the lens fell out with a smoked one from MB which I think is for the AMG cars. Its an easy job mostly consisting of removing boot trim panels. Follow the above instructions and you cant go wrong really.

Ah the name television comes to mind whenever I think about my SL days!

I would advise sealing the brakelight surround furthermore to ensure the best best chance of water tightness.

Thanks for your advice and I will apply further sealant, fortunately my SL is our garaged Spanish car, so not too affected by rain.

You should be fine then no need to seal im sure the factory rubbers should last a good few years! being brand new
