R230 SL Recall info

Can anybody help me out with some info on a supposed recall of R230 SL's with regards to SRS lights and wiring issues?

Basically the SRS light has come on the dash and we have been told by a man who worked for Mercedes back in 2004 and he told us it is on due to a wiring issue in the drivers seat and that the cars were recalled if the problem arose.

Any help on this would be much appreciated as we are looking to sell the SL500 and would like this fault fixed first!

Your local MB dealer should be able to tell you if the car had been recalled and if the work has been done; Phone them with the reg and vin - if it hasnt they may still do it

The VOSA web site has a searchable database of all official UK vehicle recalls. There are three listed for the SL, though none of these relates to the SRS lights.

EDIT

There was a recall in 2001 for the E Class, SL, S Class, C Class that related to the operation of the airbags. Select "SL" rather than "SL Class" when searching.

Nup, no recall for SRS and I've had no issues with it.
