R230 Wind Break

Has anyone bought an aftermarket wind break for their R230 SL?

The one on the other half's car has two holes in it (cigarette burn maybe ) and as minor as it is, it's the little things that detract from it's condition.

So I was on eBay and came across a few of them for sale that are not OEM, some from the UK others in Europe. Has anyone bought one?

I would imagine a genuine one from a dealership could work out a lot more than the £150 these are going for.

I tried one on a CLK. Poor fit and obviously not Mercedes quality, so I ended up buying a genuine Merc one on ebay pretty cheaply.

Have you checked to see if it can be invisibly repaired?

Thanks chap, that's exactly what I needed to know.

I was looking at getting a specialist to look at the seats/doorcard so may ask if they can do anything with the wind break too.
