Good afternoon all,

Just had my MOT done this morning and the tester pointed out my rear brake lines need changing as they are rusting badly (along with exhaust clamps).

I'm going to replace with Kunifer pipe, and looking at parts diagram there seems to be a join (280 & 380 in picture). Does anyone know exactly where they are located. Would be better to join onto here rather than trying to flare the steel line. Are these standard 3/16"?

Also has anyone done this? Guessing they are be routed differently to factory so the subframe or tank doesn't need to be dropped?

Thanks in advance

Those joints that are on EPC aren't on there from factory. At the factory and brake pipes are a 1 piece pipes. When you replace whole length of the pipe, you will need to add a joint in between to make easier to install.

Thanks for confirming that. I’ll just have to get back to a nice bit of steel to put a join in

On my previous 2010 212 I had to drop the fuel tank to replace the brake lines.

Thanks. Easy enough?
I didn’t do it personally as it was part of the replacement work for the subframe carried out by the main dealer. Parts not expensive but it was the additional time that bumped it up 🥴.

Yeah parts cost isn’t much, I’ve purchased a roll of pipe and 2 new flexi hoses, didn’t cost more than £30

Two dealers quoted vastly different costs when itemised out for all my needs. Best ask the dealer for the upfront ££
