Rear Shocks

Could anyone please advise on replacement rear shocks for my '02 w203 c270 Av/Garde Estate. I have seen several options available on the 'net but would welcome some experienced advice on which makes are the best/worst. Also most vendors offer units comparable with OEM part numbers - which I do not know.

Do 203 ESTATES not have self levelling as standard , same as W123/124 etc estates ?

Assuming they do , the items will be hydraulic rams and not shock absorbers , so I expect there will be only one item , available from the dealer - and , alas , not cheap .

I don't think they did come as standard, except on the C32 (mine certainly had SLS - an 02 reg). I recall coming back from a wine buying trip to France with mine level, overtaking a non C32 with the exhaust almost touching the tarmac. My memory might be hazy though.

I'm pretty sure that mine does'nt have SLS so I'll have a peek at the price of a set of Bilsteins.
