Rear spring broken

My CLK was in for it's MOT yesterday. I thought it would fail on the obligatory front ball joint (1 is a little loose), but it didn't. The examiner gave me about 3" of rear spring and said that was all that was wrong with it.

2 questions.
1. The MB one lasted 75k so should I just go back to MB for replacements on try some other type. I don't want the car lowered. Does anyone know who the OEM manufacturer is for non-sports springs?
2. Are these easy enough to fit or should I get an indy to do it for me,

Cheers

Rear ones are easy to fit.

If you are just going to change the rear pair then stick with genuine.

If you are going to change all 4 then go for h & r and get a specialist to change them for you as the fronts can be dangerous without the right tools.

Thanks

I'll price up the MB ones tomorrow and if they're ballpark with Sachs from ECP I'll get them, otherwise ECP gets the business.

That'll be something for the weekend then...
