Anybody had a MB recall for a rear suspension sensor possible problem?

I've not heard of any but would be mildly interested .....

Is that the ultra-rare S Class "Monster Truck" special edition? :D

Unfortunately it is... we'll see what Mr Dealer says this week.

Presumably you can't manually raise the suspension that high (front and rear together, obviously!)?

My SL looks distinctly odd on full lift :D

That wasn't manually raised, that happened to the rear only on the M6 at 70mph last night, the car is at the top stops and is rock solid, bounced about on the tyres. A wee bit scary

Got the letter from MB yesterday, will get it booked in at Draytons Shrewsbury next week I spose.

Yup I knew that, was just asking if it could intentionally go that high when raised. Sounds like it can't!

You're absolutely right, it doesn't rise that far or anywhere near it with the button, feels as if it's hit top stops. It's in at the dealer now and we'll find out why it's done it soon. While there, I saw another brought in on a flatbed with the opposite issue, wheels tucked up into the arches.

Why do Mercedes have such difficulty in making simple systems reliable?

Ah...yes...cost...

Looking at the system on WIS there is one of everything, one height sensor, one lateral sensor, one accelerometer ... you'd think they'd buy combination units and double them up for reliability... but hey, they are inexpensive cars after all..
