does anyone know if it would be possible to (fairly easily) remove the main part of an auto-dimming rear view mirror from the ball/bracket (swivel) bit and refit it onto another swivel bit?
reason i ask is that i see many coupe auto dim mirrors for sale fairly cheap but never convertable ones - its just the bracket that differs so i just wondered if i could use the swivel bracket bit of my current mirror and fit it onto an autodimmer.....?
this is for a W208 CLK by the way...
