Hoping this thread gets more attention as the previous one was about a shot-lived indicator fault on the same light that fixed itself
To be clear, it is the rear left, main tail light, the one on the rear wing and not the tailgate. (2016 GLE)
ATM, the lights are working fine.
I've looked but can see only two nuts not the third. I guess I will also need a special tool as the small nut is on a bolt that protrudes by about one ince/25mm.
Is there anyone that can confirm if the above light has a gasket and do I have to remove the trim ie other than the access panel on the left side of the car that is about 10/11 inches square?
(I've seen one video made in India, not too clear but they are replacing the rear tail light - any others - a gasket required and if so, is would just a gasket do the trick once I've dried out the light? Any videos, diagrams regarding the removal of this light?
The small nuts holding the light (I can only see 2 of the three) the bolt they are fitted too is about one inch long - it will be almost impossible to get a spanner to it so deep sockets required - I have been looking but cant find any - anyone know how big the nut is, please?
Many thanks again.
