I have a Euro 500sec 1984. It is getting a bit smokey but not too bad, just a cloud on hard acceleration.
I have done a search initially on a 560 transplant but not comes up specific to my Gen 2 to Gen 1 requirements.
I would like to keep the car as authentic as possible but definately want more power. 300 - 350 plus horsepower would be nice. I am a newbie to to stage with engine transplants etc and will take on each suggestion on its merit. From my reserach so far (very limited !) I am considering the following:
1. Rebuild 5.0 and head work to get HP up
2. Rebuild 5.0 to 5.4
3. Rebuild 5.0 to 5.6?
4. Transplant 560 engine and go EFI.
5. Supercharging is also an option
6. Transplant m119 ...last option
I would really appreciate any feedback from people in the know and specially people who have done the 560 engine transplant into a GEN 1 W126.
