What an engine! I was wondering what it weighs and what that does to the handling, but then on reflection the 300 diesel was probably a hefty engine too as diesel blocks normally weight much more than petrol. My car has a lower kerb weight than the E350CDI according to the manual.

With Mercedes , the petrol and Diesel blocks are normally the same ( bottom end at least ) with just a different crankshaft ( I know for example the OM606 is based on the M104 and the weights are 463lb vs 441lb respectively .

The M120 , being basically two M104s joined together , weighs in at 654 lb . so a fair bit more .
