I have a 2009 W212 E350

Today it was raining and my wipers wouldnt work, when i flicked the wipers stalk to intermittent nothing happened but on the dash above my traction control button, the passenger airbag OFF light lit up, when i turned the wipers off, the light went out. On other occasions when this has happened before, on start up, the passenger airbag off lights up and stays lit up and when i put my foot on the brake pedal i get the esp inoperative warning on the dash, and still no wipers.

This multiple fault is completely intermittent, most of the time everything works fine. For the life of me i cant work out what the connection is between the wipers - The passenger airbag OFF light - ESP inoperative.

Could it be the rain sensor on the windscreen?

Has anyone had this before and found the fault? its driving me potty.

Thanks in advance

First, you need to get the car on STAR and have the fault codes read.

Then, intermittent multiple electrical issues are often down to one of these:

- Incorrect battery or alternator voltage
- Corroded ground connection
- Front SAM malfunction

Has the car been jump-started recently?

I have a icarsoft mb2 & not noticed any Sam issues, not been jumped since I’ve had it
Did the iCarsoft find any fault codes?

No not a sausage
