Relive the HORROR!

I very much doubt it, modern mercedes models are no-less solid than their traditional counterparts.

Almost certainly true, especially given EuroNcap testing. Without doubt newer models are stronger.

Slightly OT but i saw a TOP Gear the other night where they bought and then stripped out a nice P reg W140 and converted the inside of it into a cottage with flagstone floors and a wood burning stove ....

What a mess and what a waste of a nice car ......

That was discussed on here a month or so back.

Some people thought along the same lines as you, whereas others (me included) thought it was a very funny piece, particularly when they took it round the track.

There is probably some old saying which fits the bill here which I can't remember, but it goes along the lines of you can't please all of the people all of the time.

Don't get me wrong, i thought it was enormously funny, the drive round the track, when Hammonds chair turned over i was laughing out loud...:D

Yes a good piece, but a sad waste of a car .....

How come the plaster didn't fall off the doors when they slammed them ?

Pretty rubbish TV.

Pretty (but rubbish) presenter.

Not an interesting or funny piece, but, like a few others, makes me want to buy a W124....:)
