Hi Everyone,

I am looking to get my 2019 E63s remapped by someone based ideally in the Northwest. Not after a generic aftermarket remap.
Although I have dragged my Subarus as far as Scotland in the past😜

Thanks in advance,
Dave

+1 for MSL Performance in Birmingham.
You'll get a custom remap matched to your car with before and after dyno runs.

Cheers Matey.
I am down that way soon sorting out one of my Subarus with a mate of mine. Think I might pop past there as well.

What do you mean by generic ?
Nearly every make or model that can have the own Ecu read and written can have a an “upgraded map” without anyone even seeing the car so long as you can connect you r laptop to the ECU. This isn’t the way to go, also this is what so called bottom scale “mappers” do.
In my Subarus I have aftermarket Ecu”s which we map on the fly either on the rollers or the road live. This is always the best way but this Merc I have now as well just needs a tweek is is OK to take a base map reading on the rollers, remove the stock ECU, apply the software tweeks, reinstall then check readings. Ultimately should be data logged on the actual road.

This is the way MSL operate.
There is also the option of "My Genius" where your stock map is loaded onto a device along with the remap allowing you to switch back to stock at anytime or vice versa back to the remap using the OBD port..

You won't get the best out of a genetic map as all engines vary and they need to air on the side of safety. A PROPER mapping is done on a rolling road under varying loads with a mapper at the keyboard. If you use a genetic map or tuning box (as I usually do to be honest) you will probably get a perfectly adequate power and drivabilty improvement.....But there will always be something left on the table if you go that way.

Hi Everyone,

As several others have mentioned, MSL are the go-to people. Acid (owner) knows these cars and M177 engines well, realising c1,000bhp out of his own car which, incidentally, he bought from me.

I too am in the N West and it's under 2 hours from me, usually a bit less on the way home. :)

MSL quoted to map my van as collection in Wolverhampton was not far from them. £499.00 taking it from 160bhp to 250bhp. I was so tempted but the boring me was concerned about it effecting the manufactures warranty should something ever go wrong with the van. The extra power and torque for towing would have been welcome. Maybe a consideration down the line once the van is run in a little. Definitely the place to go.

That’s why I don’t want a generic map, I have always run syvecs or alcatek afterwards market ecu’s in my Subaru’s

All maps are 'generic' in a way, really. They are not live tweaking on the rolling road in most cases.

If your car is stock, they have already done the R&D and got the best map, or perhaps a few different ones depending on how much they want to push the car.

If you have custom bits (exhaust, intakes etc), then they need to tweak the map to accommodate that, but they usually have stage 1/2/3 preset maps.

If you go to GAD or MSL, they will put on their map that someone has already developed for your stock 2019 E63s and I'm sure it will be awesome!

Another vote here for MSL.

I went along with my Dad last week to have his C207 E400 mapped. They did a baseline run on the dyno whilst data-logging the AFR and knock levels etc, then created a new map from there. Once it has been uploaded to the PCM they did another run on the dyno.

Stock power was quoted as being 333hp, but my Dad's car is one of the last 200 off the production line, so it was fitted with the 3.5 litre engine rather than the more common 3.0. Consequently it made 350hp instead.

After mapping it made 417hp, all nice and safe where knock levels are concerned, and geared up for 95RON fuel rather than anything fancy 👌🏼.

If you don't fancy, a trip to Birmingham (although not a million miles away)
DC Remapping in Warrington are very good. 🙂👍

Hi

Between MSL and GAD, are both as good as each other or which would be preferred? I'm near Heathrow so both are around 2 hours from me. It's to remap a C63 W205.

Thanks

Is MSL in Bradford a branch of the same company? I got my old 6.2 C63 remapped in Birmingham, but was wondering if I could take my 4.0 C63s to MSL Bradford to get the se quality work done

Just joined the forum now. Hello All. I live close to Bradford and am keen to know the answer to this question myself. Got a 2011 5.5 S63
